i put my own in and yes i used the lgm's[I'M HAPPY I DID!].you won't regret it no matter who's header you use,but i went with the lgm's.the issue's you've read about were because of people not paying attention to what they were doing, not because of the product.the product is very good.it's everybody thinks they can wrench on a car when they really can't.you can see who can wrench and who can't.mistakes do happen, but most of the horror stories are because of a bad install not a bad product.my vote is GO DO IT! just my .02
LG's are TOP OF THE LINE excellent headers. No problem when properly installed. If you tune during the install you will love them even more. Lou and the team are great. When you read of a car having problems after a header install, it's due to poor installation. I have run many different headers and I love my LG's
I just did a Dynatech Supermaxx LT header install yesterday - the seat of your pants feel is pretty noticable and I haven't even tuned the car yet. LG or Dynatech, you'll love them!
I am thinking very hard about going to LG motorsports and having Long tube street headers and a dyno tune done. I have read several threads where there was ruff running, code prbs and many other problems..I will take my stock 02 down to the shop and have them install the headers etc....I dont do any track time, is this mod worth the expense and would you do it....Im going to make an appt for Monday, depending on the number of yes and no answers....THanks
I did the same to my 2002 LS1, LG headers, hiflow cats, X-pipe, 160 thermostat and dyno-tune.
Have not had ANY code problems, car runs great, and went from 326 to 359 RWHP.
I also installed all 4 O2 sensors. My LG's are installed with the cats ahead of the X-pipe which many people do NOT do, but it worked out just fine. The rear O2 sensors are in the X-pipe.

Same here. LG did the install and tune on my 02 coupe. The only other drivetrain mod was a Blackwing filter. HP went from 310 to 340rwhp. I've had no codes or problems in 4 months. The system was LG Pro LTs with cats installed before the x-pipe and all 4 O2 sensors installed.
I also installed the LG Pro long tubes without cats and a Blackwing intake and my car rocks. I've had no problems nor codes (using the O2 simulators). Two of my friends have these on their Z06's also with the same results. I totally recommend their headers.
Thanks for all the replies about the street headers and dyno tune.....I made my appt for the end of the month..talked to Michael...great service....AGAIN THanks for all your input
