Can You Replace The Battery In These Sensors. Ive Got A 2000 Vert With The Original Sensors And All Of Them Work But Im Putting On New Tires And Thought Since The Tires Are Off I Might As Well Put In New Batteries. Or What Is The Average Life Of These Sensors - Should I Not Even Worry About Them?
Thanks. Bob

No way to accurately predict how much life you have left. The biggest variable is the amount of "on" time they get. When the wheels stop turning, the sensors go into a "sleep" (or power down) mode to conserve battery life. Therefore "garage queens" will probably see a significantly longer battery life that say a DD for instance.
FWIW, I put some new wheels and tires on my '99 last fall and I went ahead and got new sensors. My old ones were still working but I did have one of them getting very slow to activate every day.
You can replace the batteries in them if you are handy with a Dremel and a soldering iron. If that's not in the cards for you, you can check with www.nericreations.com. Send him your old ones and he will replace your batteries and send them back or, if he has some on hand, he can send them to you right away and refund your core charge when your old ones get to him.
I think he charges something like $25 or $30 per unit or something like that and the batteries he uses are identical to what was installed originally. HTH
Theres a post on the forum some where that details how to change the batteries. It details digging into the back of the sensor and soldering in a battery. Do a detailed search.
