Default wonderful california emissions

looking to buy vet in calif and was wondering about thoughts from all you super techs about ca emissions and how they effect performance, i live here in arizona , i do know that ca has a separate emissions, go figure, ca has to be different. lol. thanks

They were a bit different until 2003. Basically all of the cars were the same but like the 2001 and maybe 02 got the pup cats. They pretty much went to all 50 states like the I believe though. In 2003 the window sticker starting reading 50 state emissions compliant though.

The 02's, all of them, were also 50 state. I bought mine new out of state from a supporting dealer.

I beleive the same is true of the 01's.

Prior to some point, the difference was the pup cats on the California cars and not on the other states.

The 405hp Z06's are all 50 state, so the emissions systems aren't holding them back one bit.
