Default Electronic Throttle Control System Question

Im doing an LSx swap in an 84 vette for my brother and Im going to put the drive-by-wire system in. Can someone tell me what makes up the system, how it is connected, and the best place to get the components other than a wrecked car? Thanks

Scott

you will need the wiring harness[engine],tac[throttle ecu],pcm, pedal sensors[gas pedal].the way it works the gas pedal tells the throttle controller where the gas pedal is and opens the blade accordingly,as
this is happening the tac unit is telling the pcm what's going on at the same time.your problem is going to be the the class 2 communication links.a c4 doesn't use a class 2 communication because it is a obd 1 car.you are probably going to have to use a aftermarket dfi setup with
a f-body throttle[not a drive by wire].and either run a speed density system[probably be the easiest]or run a maf system with a cable actuated throttle.
note: the obd connectors are different also,so you will be doing ALOT of creative wiring.

I have completely gutted the entire wiring harness and will be installing an entirely new one. I am not using any of the stock harness in the engine bay or the dash so the creative wiring part is not a problem. I am even contemplating using a Z06 dash cluster.
