Ok guys I need your help. I got my first corvette. A beautiful Torch Red 1999. The previous owner did some changes on it already like..... Twin Flow Intake with the C5 Silicone Air Coupler. Also he change the exhaust to I believe the Tri-Flo Muffler System with speedway Tips. He also took it to Lingenflelter and had some work done on it. Plus has the chrome rims add and has the corvette floor mates. Now since I got the car I would like to do some mod's too. I want to some more HP. What can I do? Please Help.
Welcome aboard... The first thing any sane Vette owner should do (that is considering mods) is..burn your credit cards Seriously though. if you have an A4, a PowerLoader seems to be a good mod. An M6 really benefits from a new shifter..Ripper is a good choice...the stock clutch is a P.O.S.!! Lowering is a nice mod that costs nothing... Upgrading the tires & wheels is popular & can improve the handling. Upgrading the shocks, swaybars & links will also help in the handling dept. Try to contact the previous owner & find out exactly what he had done to the motor... heads & cam will give you a REAL nice performance improvement. Changing the gearing is also desireable (3.42's for A4's & 3.73's for the M6) Then there's long tube headers, underdrive pulleys, LS6 intake, ported TB etc.. You can EASILY dump 10 to 20 large into the Vette & still want more... Good luck Don.. :chevy
Welcome! You are going to love your car. I have spent about $8K in mods in the last 6 mo. Wish I would have put the money in the engine. Heads and cam would be my 1st suggestion or a stroker. Depends what you want to spend. The sky is literally the limit. DyanoDon also has good suggestions. If you want looks great. If you want power great. Just keep focused.
I did Headers+High Flows cats about two months ago.
I LOVE IT!
Car sounds/feels like a true muscle machine now.
Good Luck!

Thanks guys.....You all had great ideas. I think I am going to go for the head and cams. I even been think about putting in a alpine dvd/cd/am&fm/navigation system in my car to replace the factory radio. :seeya :seeya :seeya :seeya :seeya      :D :D
