Default Lights On The Dash Question

I notice recently a couple of backlights have buned out on my dash IE. the one for the fuel and the reset buttons. Can I pry (and I don't like that word ) the cover off and just replace the bulbs or do I have to loosen or remove the dash to get to them.

Thanks for your help

You do need to take the instrument cluster out in order to change the bulb... Here's a link to an instruction (by SPDKILZ for LED light replacement..) on how to get it out. Hope this helps.

Default Thank You

thanks, I was aware of the website and it contains great info. I do need to remove my HVAC, thats how I found the site when I posted a previous question about problems with the HVAC display. I wouldn't do it until the weather gets a little warmer and just thought that maybo I could pop the covers off of the buttons. One more question once removed are the bulbs a pull out and push in type or will I need to cut and/or sodder them in place.

Thanks for the compliments!

The normal 12v bulbs do not need any resistors. They are specifically made to be able to handle the 12v current of a car. It is only the LEDs that you need worry about resistors. If you do put in LEDs, the rule of thumb is a 470ohm resistor.
