Your tire size numbers are incorrect for the Z06. The correct # for the Zo6 tires is 295-35-18 for the rear. Not 295-40-18. Tire rack has the Firestone firehawk wide ovals for $189 a piece. this is a half inch shorter and an inch wider than your rear tires now. Yes they will fit. at 60mph your spedometer will read 61.4 mph. No big deal.. With a shorter tire your axle ratio ( in my case) will go from 3.15 to 3.21-3.22. or if you have 3.42 axle you would go to a 3.49 with the shorter tire. Not a bad thing at all. Actually its a good thing. As far as a 295-40-18, I don't think they make that size, if they do it will be hard to find. Also your front tire numbers are wrong for a stock Z06. Correct size is 265-40-17. yes they will fit too. Firehawk is 139.00 a piece there are 3 or 4 other brands available too at more than double that price. The Firehawk is probably the best bang for the buck. The Firestone store down the street wanted $305.00 a piece for the rears. They looked nice and sticky. When I told them what tire rack was selling the same tire for they did not believe me. They said if i printed the add off they would match the price. I printed off and brought it back to firestone. The manager said that 189.00 was below his cost and he could not match it. I guess they thought I was mistaken. Shipping is $21.90 for 2 tires. No tax involved since they are shipped from another state.

I just put 295-35-18 and 275-35-18 Goodrich TA-KDW2s on my wagon wheels. I bought another set of WWs so I could run 18s all around. heres some pics of the rears. cheapest price i found was tiredirect.com but it was only $30.00 less for the 4 including shipping and the replacement warranty than the tire rack. More pics when the fronts get here tonight and when i get them mounted.

I am curious as to how much spin you get when you launch with your new tires. If you get time please post.
