About a month ago I posted a question about mounting a radar detector at the upper edge of the windshield and connecting to the power in the rearview mirror. Several members were kind enough to send me a link for a vendor who makes a cable for this and I can't find the responses or a copy of the link. If you have the link or responded earlier, could you send it again please?
UPDATE - found it. Thanks for looking.
Thanks.

You don't need a harness to hook it up. If you have a little multi-tester, you can find power and ground leads quite easily. Just unplug the modular plug on the back of the mirror, and test which contacts to use, making sure power is on with ignition on, so it'll power down automatically. It's only a 2 wire connection to most detectors, and you can solder, or just wedge the wires in the proper slot.(My method) Pretty easy, and free. I'd save you the trouble by telling you which wires I connected to, but I'd have to take it apart, as I forget.

On my '02 C5, with the connector unplugged, but facing you in the driver's seat, the second wire in from the left (orange wire) is your ground and the far right terminal (brown wire) is your 12v. I tried the wedge method, but cannot make a satisfactory contact. I just tinned the ends of the wires and tried shoving them in through the back, but can't make the connection. Any suggestions? I guess I'll drop by Radio Shack and look for connectors that have a thinner profile than the wire and try to shove them in a little further.
Aah, never mind. I finally got it. I spliced in a two conductor telephone wire, tinned the ends of those and shoved them in the FRONT of the connector, instead of the back, then re-installed the connector onto the mirror, squishing my tiny phone wires between the pins in the mirror and the connector sockets. It works great now... Powers the detector on with the key, shuts it off with the key. Beautiful...
