Default 1.8 rockers

My brother has a 99 that is stock except for a Blackwing and cats removed. Could he install the Z07 rockers (1.8) without changing his springs? It's an auto shifting at 6200

Would like an answer to that one too.

BTW, I've read where you have to use all exhaust rockers...the intakes will not work.

Can'r remember the cam specs of the '99 but I say the 1.8's will probably put him around 550 lift so yeah change the springs.

The rockers will accelerate the valves faster. Assuming you have some miles on the car since its a 99, I would swap over to the Z06 springs since they are only $60 or so. Not worth risking it, and not a bad upgrade. The other issue you will have is the pushrods, I would upgrade them as well since the stockers will be under a heavier load.

I think the C6 Z06 intake rockers are offset, so they won't fit/work.
