[Intake manifold swap] Stupid question about installing new coolant tube...
When I pulled my old coolant tube off, it had a rubber gasket attached to a oval shaped peice for each of the points where it was bolted to the heads. The new tube has a rubber o-ring integrated into the new coolant tube and plugs. Am I correct to assume I do not need to install those old gaskets?
I know it's a stupid question, but I want to make 100% I don't have to pull the manifold back off because of leaks. A quick test fit (not bolted down) seemed like it wasn't the best seal without those gaskets. I just want to make sure.

not a stupid question, I know exactly what your talking about; the newer tubes/plugs from GM have the orings already installed on the tubes
I have seen the gasket/o-rings on a motor swap('02 Z06)
leave the old gaskets/o-rings off and use the new coolant pipe with o-ring
