Just completed a 3200 mile road trip & was washing car when I noticed some abnormal wear on the inside edge of both front tires. It's not bad & the only reason I could see it was because the front tires had been left turned a bit after backing the car out of the garage. Any thoughts?
The front tires tend to wear quicker on the inside edges due to the alignmennt used to promote quick turn in.
Some have the camber taken out... to promote more even wear.
Very common problem on C5's. It will only get worse, so get it realigned asap and tell them you don't race and don't need all the factory camber. I did and my new tires w/ over 12K miles still look like new w/ no uneven wear. 95% of my driving is non-spririted just driving around town....5% giving it hell in the twisties!! Works for me fine!

I'm getting ready to have mine adjusted to what you're describing. I'm curious, did it soften the understeer tendency at all (like a snap turn-in is what I'm talking about)?

Since I also installed my new non-runflat tires at the same time (old GY runflats were toast at 20K miles) I'm not sure what you mean by snap turn-in, but I can say for sure that my tire wear is outstanding and handling is alot better than I'll ever need. It handles and turns great on those occasions that I'm driving hard on our monthly Corvettes & Cobras GTG's here in the San Diego mountains and badlands. My non runflat tires are very quiet and have a softer-smoother ride for sure. I'm running Kumho Escta ASX's that have a 420 treadware rating. I do alot of cross country trips (4Kmiles+) and my car rides/drives like a dream. Hope that helps alittle.
Good luck....
What the!!! You mean you have to put air in the tires?? Man I'm glad you let me know. I'm also glad some other members know what they're talking about. Thanks guys.

Don't feel bad.... I bought a used Z06 with a custom allignment....... totally burned up a pair of new F1's on a crosscountry trip before I knew it.... didnt even get 2000 miles out of the fronts!!
$100 allignment plus $500 for 2 tires... problem fixed... a little more expensive than my Honda

I just replaced my 2 front Goodyear run flats with 13,000 miles of extreme abnormal inside wear. Found out that it was aligned at the factory for high performance spec's. Imagine that, a convertible!! Just turned in a claim to Chevrolet for the cost of two tires and an alignment.

Doesn't anyone check the alignment on a new car when they buy it until they notice the tires are wearing??? Especially when the tires cost $300 each!!!
I never trust the factory alignment on any car, and always have the alignment checked within 1,000 miles of when I buy a new car.
I don't think I have ever gotten a new car that the alignment was perfect from the factory.
Some cars come off the assembly line at the rate of 1 per minute, and you know the dealer does not check the alignment on every car they sell. What do you expect?

All he was doing was asking a question.
Need more guys like you on the forum.... not.
You know there seems to be alot of up tight folks around these dazes. If youre able to have a nice car like the vette why whud you be so up tight...Ive had the very same problem & its an absolute legit question.Someone said it almost correct & its not air press.persay.. What I say & its simular to one here on forum, tell the alignment shop that you dont want all the neg.camber as you dont race around corners.Remember to tell him you want positive(thats where the tire turns outward at the top instead of inward.I have a 99 targa & because of the age of the car I think the buggy spring is loosing some tension, therefore sagging a bit.I told the guy to put 1degree pos.& it seems fine so far.If you tell him that & you look with whls straight ahead, you can see the top of the tire leaning outward. You see with the weight of the car load & aero weight because of the rake of the frontal area, the car gets loaded up thus more neg.camber.By all means check it lock to lock to see what wear you have after the align..
