Fusible link blown... replacement ideas.
2000 FRC,
fusible link on the altenator wire, at the starter battery lug is blown.
I could try an get another fusible link, and replace it.
possibly replace with a maxi fuse setup, but I'm not sure what rating I should get.
any ideas?
Larry

The advantage of a fusible link over a fuse is durability in a high temperature environment. It is also naturally “slow blowing” so that a slightly excessive current of short duration won’t rapidly melt the wire that constitutes the fusible link.
Just go to any auto parts store and buy another fusible link of the same size.
If you keep melting the fusible link you have some serious problem going on.
