Default Head light headache....

New to the fourm...
My 2002 left head light is making a grinding/hammerdrill sound for about10 sec when the head lights are turned off and goes down...Also, my head lights pop up when I turn my parking lights on now...It's never done this before either... Any suggestions would be helpfull...Thanks, MGH

Plastic headlight gear is shot. Give Rodney Dickman a call for his brass gears, do BOTH sides!!! -Mat-

Remove the head light linkage from the actuator motor then turn the motor in the up direction 180 degrees. That will move the stop postion of the gear and should work.
The motor only uses 60 to 70 % of the gear. That worked for me and the job took about 20min. Good Luck
