Cams are ground after hardening. Comp can regrind cams and it's not very expensive. You can even change the duration a little bit, but not the ICL or advance as it's easy to go through the hardening.

I wouldn't say the guy had to have noticed it. When you take out the cam, and put in the new one, it is done relativly fast. I never look over the one i am taking out until i have some time.
I did once take out a cam that I bought brand new, and after 5-6k miles, it looked just like that if not worse. I still don't know how it happened. It was crazy.
Ok... well just got a PM saying he sent me the money to my paypal yesterday... hope he didn't send it to the wrong person... cause i have no email from paypal stating that he paid me. Also found out, one of the pushrods i bought from him is bent too, he says "no way".

To me personally i think the cam was fine cause a friend of mine made a good point to me.My stock cam was out of the car laying in a inclosed car trailer for like a month or so but even longer then this cam was out.And the stock cam was fine, now this cam was out of the car for less time then that and now theres a problem with it.Just sounds strange to me but i could be wrong cause i also didnt check it before i sent it.Now the pushrods and the cam went to a machine shop right after i got them back from being out of the car,and the cam was fine and so were all the pushrods,But now the pushrods are bent all of a sudden.I sent you the $250.00 through paypal,i checked it and it sent it through echeck so it should show up by today it takes a couple of days before it clears. It was sent on sunday to you after i cancelled the first one cause it was the wrong address.

People are sometimes surprised to learn that things weren't perfect inside with their fine running engine.
A pushrod can be slightly bent - and with hydrolic lifters - it not be noticeable during driving. But obviously... once you discover this after an engine tear down - you'd replace a slightly beny pushrod... even though the engine was running fine with it before.

Which is what I did, i have ONE new pushrod coming from Thunder Racing.
He has sent the money, it should be clearing today, and i'll ship his cam back to him. (i'm even paying for shipping).
Trust me... the cam is just how you saw it in those pictures... rusted. You'll see that VERY clearly when you get it back.
Jeez, I had a cam in my garage sitting ten years one time and it looked like new, That looks like one laying out in a bone yard. That cam has problems.
