Z51 Shocks
Hello & Merry Christmas !!! Well here is my problem strange as it may be I just installed new Z51 Shocks on my car now the car seems to be setting about and inch higher I have driven the car around 10 miles to seen if it will settle down but it has not WTF is going on ??? The Part# on the front shocks is 10302857 I cant remmember the # on the back I looked them up on one site & it said will fit 97 thru 07 ???

It may take a couple of days for you suspension to settle. Whenever I jack up my 01 the fiberglass leaf springs get stretched downward and I guess it just takes a while to settle. Some say about 100 miles of normal driving and others may say 50 or less of aggressive driving with lots of tips in road. Don’t sweat it - it will settle down.

It's normal for a while. I get the same thing whenever my lowered Z51 vert gets jacked up. My related question is how in the hell anyone gets a decent alignment with this happening.
