Talk about frustration! 3 Times Superchips programmed my PCM.It just WILL NOT shift at WOT :mad
With all due respect to their professional attitude and eagerness to please.
The fact of the matter is that the 2001 Corvette LS1 has them stumped. It is very disheartning to make plans ,buy parts, spend time and money and to believe that you have made the "right choce" in vendors and then this :nonod::
I have already ordered the Powerloader from Matt and Richard at Exit 28 Motorsports.
It will be 4-5 weeks befor I will have the Powerloader.I'll just wait!
I feel like :boxing: Oh well . Boys and their Toys......
Re: Superchips foiled again...again and again! (vstella)
Godspeed.....Ed Wright might be one answer. He's got a great reputation, and it may come to that
if the powerloader does'nt settle the problem. I just don't want to take out the PCM again.
The first time the strap that held the PCM cracked. I really don't have even two days at this point to give up my daily driver.
The car runs great otherwise. Just not at WOT.
Re: Superchips foiled again...again and again! (Buckmaster)
It's a shame that a vendor who is "supposed" to be reliable and presents a state of
the technology product can't deliver the product they advertise.
I'm sure they have products that do work, and many satisfied customers.
This one doesn't!and I'm not one of them! 'Enough said. :( :(
Re: Superchips foiled again...again and again! (vstella)
I also had problems with Superchips, but I returned mine after their second programing attempt, since mine also "crashed" the PCM during both "un-installs" (requiring the PCM to be re-flashed)... Didn't you & I discuss this previously ??? Sorry it didn't work out for you.... But you'll lOVE the Powerloader!!! MUCH better program & absolutely NO problems !!!
Re: Superchips foiled again...again and again! (vstella)
my 2001 coupe had 2 A4 trannys replaced[fried 2/3 clutch packs] because it wouldnt shift at W.O.T..tookem 3 tries to figuer out it was a faulty speed sensor/they said it had a weak signal at W.O.T
could it be that the sensor failed at the same time you got your pcm reprogramed?
Re: Superchips foiled again...again and again! (WildWolf)
Josh...Im doing everthing I can to make it. I want to run good. But there is no sense if I don't have the car running right.
What's the point.
If nothing else I will be a spectator and see all my CF friends.

Re: Superchips foiled again...again and again! (vstella)
Good news here ! I tried something with the computer and I got it to shift in WOT.
The program is far from perfect, but it does now shift at 6200. Redline is 6400. Shifts are firm and definate.
It won't work in 3.... only drive. It won't upshift at WOT manually either but it does shift at WOT in drive.
Hopefully the car will learn my shifts and stay in the computer. I reflashed to stock and then loaded the program again.
Superchips still needs to figure how to perfect this thing. I'm not thrilled ,but I do feel better.:yesnod:
Things could be worse.. I'd def move on to another programmer.. Anyone with a 2001 Auto should avoid SC I guess.
I'll be switching to MMS for my programming shortly. Will get to see their critique of the SC prog, but I haven't had any issues. Just want my tuner 100% behind my new setup.
