Pilot bearing ?
I have an 97 C5 w/auto trans,When I took out the drive shaft and took off the flywheel there was no pilot bearing in the crank(original motor).I'm putting in a different motor and it has a pilot bearing but I took it out because I thought it was for manuals only.So do I need to put it back in,Or can I leave it out...............Paul

Cool,Thanks.I went and picked one up at AutoZone,But It does not have the needle bearings,That doesn't matter...right? It all spins together anyway on an auto,I don't know how a manual is.......Paul
