Default TPIS LT Headers installed today

I finally got my LT's installed today. :) Chris Johnson@Performance Motorsports did the install. :smash: The work is top notch. I am very pleased so far. I definitely feel a SOTP difference on acceleration. I installed the H-pipe that came with the headers and I don't have X-pipe or want one for that matter. With the Indy's alone, the exhaust at idle had the motor boat gurgle. Now its gone. The exhaust tone is now deeper and in 2nd and 3rd at WOT it sounds down right mean. :reddevil

I want to add a note here about the great customer support from Shawn over at LAPD. I initally got the wrong header and Shawn immediately rectified the problem. He sets the example/standard for Customer Service. I will not hesitate to do business with him again in the future.

This weekend I should know and feel more as I will have the chance to really get on it. :jester

Once again, thanks to Chris and Shawn.

I sure am. This morning on the way in to work, I tried to get on it a bit where I knew I could. I can definitely notice that it pulls harder but I only feel it from about 3000k up. As for the sound, it doesn't seem as loud at idle as it used to before the headers but it is definitely a deeper toned sound. At WOT, it roars to life. It think I am gonna have some real nice fun this weekend. :D

I forgot to mention that when I went to pick up my C5, that I got see SW's Viper. That thing is sweet. He had just put on some brand new Kinesis rims and was doing an oil change.

Yep, watch out after the 3000K mark cause that's where the TPIS LT's really shine! :D Especially if you have a "bottom breather" air filter (which you do).

After you let "break-in" the new headers then it's DYNO TIME! :yesnod:

So at idle it is quieter, but at 3000 rpm and up it is louder? DO you still get the snap, crackles, and pops? Do you think the h-pipe quieted it down?

To me, at idle, its doesn't sound as loud as it did before the headers were installed but it does have a deeper tone. Last night I drove by this one intersection with an overpass that I drive by almost everyday. I gunned it and the car sounds a whole lot louder than it did before. As for the snap, crackle & pops, there still there :D and more pronounced. ;) This has definitely been one of my favorite additions to the car, and I have only had them for a day now. I don't know what effect the H-pipe may have had but I don't think I had any choice about not installing it. I guess I could've not had it installed but it came with the headers unlike having to order an X-pipe separately.

The H-pipe is there to supposedly add more low end torque.

Either you guys have VERY sensitive butt-o-meters, or part of it is imagination. I could't feel any difference after the TPIS headers were installed. Although it did increase my trap speed by 2 mph. I guess it takes more for me to notice a difference.

2thdr,

When you get new dyno numbers you will have to let us know. Do you have the cold air cover on your Donaldson or just the filter?

The TPIS really sound killer with the Corsa Indy & X-Pipe. Very exotic. Everyone says my car sounds better than any of the Ferrari/Viper/Lambo/Porsche's down here. You should pick up 10rwhp & helps flow for other mods. Best effect tho is the exotic sound difference.

Just got the TPIS headers installed on my Z06 yesterday. I also had the ASP underdrive crank pulley installed. Very noticable difference right at 3K RPM. The sound on the Corsas/X-pipe didn't change a whole lot..maybe just deeper.
