Wheel lug nut torque spec?
I need to remove my rear wheels this weekend. Does anyone know what the torque specification is for the lug nuts? Are the front ones the same?

Re: Wheel lug nut torque spec? (zoneblock)
:yesnod: 100 ft-lbs. is the correct value. I did some pretty heavy checking since my 2001 factory Helm's manual gives two different values (each on a different page). I also recommend using a progressive approach like the 30-60-100 recommend above.

FWIW, I have seen posts to the effect that you run less chance of rotor warping with 90 ft/lbs as the final value. So I use 30 - 60 - 90 with no problems.

Re: Wheel lug nut torque spec? (1stC5)
I had rotor warping on my '98. After the dealer graciously fixed the problem, I retorqued to 90 ft/lbs and had no problem. I now have an 01. Is the warping problem still there on this model year? :flag
