Magwheel info needed.
Here is a pic of my 2004 C5 wheels. They are marked "Magnesium" on the rim.
Who can give me the scoop on these wheels? Some questions that come to mind are -
1. Are they truly magnesium?
2. Are they the standard wheel for that model and year?
3. What maintenance do they need? What about touchups?
4. What's the coating on them?
5. What are the questions I need to ask before someone works on my tires/rims?
6. Are there any links to useful sites or threads on them?

1-Yes
2-Very expensive option, not the stock wheel($2000)
3-No maintenence, clean the paint with the rest of the car. Touchup paint can be gotten through the dealer
4-Painted finish
5-Just that they know it chips very easy and to check for stess cracks. They are cast, not forged magnesium so they can be brittle.
