Default Anyoine running TrickFlow or RHS cylinder heads?

I have an 01 MN6 and I am thinking about heads & cam over the winter. Everyone seems to be runnning AFR 205s with a few Darts and Patriots thrown in.

I am thinking about either the TrickFlows or RHS' new canted valve heads. Anyone have any experience with these? Laying the valves over unshrouds the valves, and increases piston to valve clearance.

Comments? Suggestions?

Thanks

RHS are the ETP heads (basically). I like the idea of the lower valve angle, but I don't like the idea of longer 5/16" pushrods. I believe the pushrods we are running at the RPM's we are running are not stiff enough. From what I understand, Spintron testing at Crane and other facilities bear this out. With this in mind, both the TFS and the RHS heads require even longer pushrods. I am not trashing either head, I think they are excellent products. However, if you decide on one of these you may want to consider some extra machine work (if its even needed) and stepping up to 3/8" pushrods.

Hi LDB C5,

You will find all the info you need about ETP heads and my complete combo with graphs, pics and videos in this thread:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1609450

My engine is spinning to 7450 rpm (when needed) on his hydraulic camshaft and there is absolutely NO sign of valve float or any uncontrolled frequency, but that is certainly related to the accurate selection of the valvetrain components during the building process...

I have some of the early TF heads, custom CNC'd by TEA, and love them. Mine require 7.9" PRs, and roller rocker arms, but they've since re-engineered them, and no longer need the added expense of r-rockers, and the PRs needed are now only 7.5" length.

Hi LDB C5,

My guess is that the complete combo would be unbalanced and the max power down buy a bit.

The biggest concern would be the torque and the average power that would be for sure a lot lower...

Just a guess.

I'm running Trend .110 wall thickness pushrods on my L92 setup with Comp 921's. Very stable.
