I have mine on the dash in the corner on the passenger side.

My 01' coupe had been modded by the previous owner. Therefore the XM antenna was ran up through the panels just behind the roof panel & seats. It actually comes out in the center of the hatch & is mounted to the roof (just in front of the rear hatch) on top of the car. Great place for it!!
