Please Help check engine light on
I just bought a an 01 modded vetteone week ago, and my car is throwing p0171, and p0174 codes(Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1 and 2). I have always put premium fuel in it, but can smell the fuel in the exhaust, but no smoking. engine has plenty of power, but kind of lopes at timesat idle, but quickly returnes to normal idle. I dont know what is normal for this car, becauseit is new to me, and my first vette. also somtimes when driving when I take it out of gear, insted of dropping rpm's back down it will stay at; or kick up to between 1500 and 2000 rpm's, then eventually retun to a normal idle. It is an m6, and the modds are as follows:new mti ls1 forged motor(installed March,07),mti stealth II Cam 116, stage 2 heads, high flow airbridge, kooks headers, kooks x pipe with cats, corsa tiger shark, vararam air intake. I really do appreciate any insight to this problem, and wonder if this is dangerous for the motor, I would like to thank you ahead of time, for responding to my dilema. I also forgot to mention that I bought this car in houston, and I live about 3500 feet above sea level in dry climate.
