Default Cut outs....serve a purpose??

looking to try and have a little more play out of my corsa system.....granted i love the way it sounds now. My question is....if i found a set of motorized cut outs(the baffles the move in the pipes)....with no headers installed would i notice and difference in the sound at all?. On a stock system....where would these get placed??

Default definitely

Yes, you would definitely hear a difference bro. Remember Mikes mustang that we went for a ride in, he basically had the same thing as cut outs. He stopped his exhaust illegally at right about the mid point on the car. Just behind the headers. He was running nothing else. Thats why his car was sooo loud. He later put the mufflers back on cause it was too loud and did not want to attract so much attention as I bet his father got plenty of phone calls from other granby police officers telling him his son was out and raising hell.

So to answer your question. For you to have cutouts on a C5 but to not have headers on it with high flow cats, I would say, save your money and do the headers first. My bet is that you will be happy with the headers and not even want to do the cut outs. Keep in mind by doing the cut outs you have to cut pipes weld in the cut outs, run the electrical stuff very carefully so you don't burn the wires. Plus the cost of the cut outs. Oh plus that heat has got to go somewhere....and heat rises....so your torque tube and floor boards right beneath where you sit, are going to heat up.

For your car with the mods that have been done....I wouldn't recommend doing it man.
