Im going to be getting my 3.90 gears installed in a few weeks and i was just wondering what kind of gains i will get at the track in the Quarter mile???

When I switched to 4.10 gears in my LS1 Camaro, I picked up 3-mph. My ET only improved by a tenth, largely due to the fact that I was now pretty traction limited.

I really don't know about quarter mile times, but seat of the pants is awesome

I gained .35 with a change from 342 to 390. Took me a few runs to master the wheel spin out of the hole. Most of my problem was tire pressure and letting the clutch out too quick. Just a hair slower release dropped my sixty foot about .15

"with" traction... or "without" traction...

3 tenths is reasonable though it may take a few tries to get it. The rev limiter comes up quicker and getting a good launch on street tires is a bit harder.

Anyone else have some before/after input for gear changes at the drag strip?
