Default Any idea what's causing this noise?

I have a “whining” or rattling sound coming from somewhere when I’m cruising around 70pmh. It’s not very loud. I can’t really hear it when he radio is on.

It sounds likes it’s somehow related to the accelerator. If I’m holding steady at 70 or so, the noise is there. If I accelerate or lift, the sound goes away, so it’s not the tires or bearings. I don’t think I’ve heard it at any slower speeds. Anyone familiar with this?

Thanks.

Could be your ring and pinion making noise. They sometime whine while under light load (like cruising speeds) and go away while under acceleration.

Is it an easy fix if that's the problem?

The rear end whine is not a " problem" it just is.
