Track vs. Strip car
How would one modify a car for the track (autocross) different from the strip (drag racing)
- assume that this car would also be streetable.

Many differences, and no they are not transferable
example
alignment is different
gearing is different, Strip 4.10s are real popular but of auto x or track days 3.42s are far better gear choice.

considering I see people not running a front swaybar in the 1/4 I would say completely different. 
You can get a happy middle of the road, but it depends on how competitive you want to be with either.
