Default C5 Sun Visor Retainer Clip

My driver side sun visor's plastic retainer that holds the sun visor to the window frame has broken. According to the local dealership, this plastic part (the one on the sun visor, not the windlow frame) is not available without purchasing the complete sun visor. This is a expensive option to just get the plastic retainer....... Does anybody have a more economical solution to remount this sun visor without buying a whole new unit. Surely there is a better way.......I would appreciate any help or experience in the area.........

Thanks.

Your dealership lied to you, go to www.gmpartshouse.com and call the telephone number, Gene Culley will take care of you.

I haven't use this stuff but have heard good things about it. Came across this site, but have no idea where to buy the stuff. Also not sure of the price, might be more than you can buy a used visor clip for if you can get one used.

Are you talking about the small clip attached to the windshield trim toward the rear view mirror?

If so then it's the same item I just picked up at the dealer. Cost < $2

Just bought 2 clips for my 2000 last week, about $2.00 each. I tried to find the invoice for the clips, but can not lay my hands on it tonight, however, they are available, they also fit the Malibu and Cobalt.
