I was installing my line lock, got the wires in the cabin and tested for a constant hot wire for splicing into the switch. Found an "orange wire" about 14 gauge, removed battery cable and spliced into the wire and wired into switch along with the source wire going to the solenoid for the line lock. Put the battery cable on and turned the switch on and I could hear the solenoid engage, then turned back off and back on again and nothing. No power to the once "hot" wire. I pulled all of the fuses out individually and did not find any fuses blown.
Long story short, my drivers side window does not work. Is there anywhere else that I should be looking for a blown fuse other than the fuse box under the hood next to the battery? I'm new to this car and would appreciate any help.

What circuit did you splice into? Do you even know? You said you pulled "all" the fuses, does that include underhood and at the passengers feet?
You many want to get a hold of a wiring diagram so you know exactly what system you are affecting.
A suggestion - Once you are able to identify where the problem is, get one of the add-on fuse kits at Pep Boys and run your line lock off of that. Much easier and less risky than risking damage or loss of power to something else that may be risky.
Drivers window doesn't work. I pulled the floor mat late last night and looked at the fuses (didn't pull any). Do you know if these fuses show a discoloration if they are blown?

I ordered a schematic today for the car.
Thanks
Check minifuse 33 (10 amp) and minifuse 34 (25 amp).

If you have the owner manual the list of fuses and what they are for should be in the book, at least it is for my 2000. Good luck.
Checked fuse #34 and it was bad (25 amp). I must have a dead short somewhere (I think it is the switch).
Thanks for the help. Really appreciate it.
It sounds like you tapped into the batt "hot" to the LH door control. I would consider this a poor choice(and it does not sound like you fused the power to the line lock). Disconnect that splice and choose another power source that is not associated with a system i.e. the cigarette lighter.
