How do I sync the headlights? Left one goes off & down, then pops up 3 inches

How do I sync the headlights? Left one goes off & down, then pops up 3 inches
Any ideas on how to get these to STAY down when the lights are off?

Try this:
Unplug the headlight motor connectors and MANUALY put both headlight doors in the DOWN position. Make sure that the headlight is in the OFF position. Then reconnect the motors (they should stay DOWN. Then cycle them and see how they work!

there's a chance that one of the mechanical stops is no longer in proper position... allowing the headlight to continue to rotate until the motor actuation times-out.
