What size blade fuse does the C5 use? Need to buy a tapa circuit,do they use a mini or maxi,ATC or ATM?

Not sure ... maybe the Owner's Manual specifies which kind.

Actually our C5s have three different sizes. Maxi, mid-size ("standard") blade fuse, and minis.
The size depends on which particular circuit you are working on.

I just looked in the Owner's Manual (2002), and this is what it says:

"Fuses and Circuit Breakers
The wiring circuits in your vehicle are protected
from short circuits by a combination of maxi-fuses,
mini-fuses and circuit breakers
."

Also, it shows a few pages of where and what the fuses are, as well as if they are maxi, mini fuses or circuit breakers.

Yikes. I think you're right. :o I have a couple of aftermarket items added to my car (subwoofer amp) that use the ATO (standard size blade fuse) and I keep a few spares in the car for that purpose, along with a selection of minis just in case. Guess I was inadvertantly thinking of them along with others.

bowtiebubba: Unless you're adding an item that has a fairly high current draw, looks like you need the "tap-a-fuse" for the minis. Preferrably, whatever you're adding has it's own fuse too and won't have to rely strictly on the fuse being tapped into.
