Default Z06 Vert Help !!!!!!! ???????

HEY GUYS I KNEED SOME HELP !!!!! I AM REBUILDING A 02 VERT WITH AN AUTO TRANY AND WANT TO PUT A 02 Z06 MOTOR IN IT . I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT YOU CAN NOT JUST CHANGE THE MOTOR , I WAS TOLD THAT THE TORQUE TUBE IS DIFFERENT , IN THAT THE SHAFT IS BIGGER AND THAT MEANS YOU MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE THE TRANNY TOO , HAS ANYBODY RUN INTO THIS BEFORE ????? I WOULD APPERACIATE SOME HELP THANKS

If you're using the A4 transmission and torque tube,the LS6 engine should bolt right up.

Do you have the 3.42 rear from the Z06?

Now would be the perfect time to mate it with your LS6 engine swap.

Also,if you haven't spent your last dime yet,
Mike Mercury found a real sweet GM torque converter with a slightly higher stall speed than stock.He posted an interesting thread,which included the GM part number,after his installation.

First off, all Z06's came with a manual torque tube, not an automatic torque tube.

The torque tube for an auto is different than that of a manual tranny.

You can use your existing auto torque tube for the conversion, it's no big deal.
