HEY GUYS I KNEED SOME HELP !!!!! I AM REBUILDING A 02 VERT WITH AN AUTO TRANY AND WANT TO PUT A 02 Z06 MOTOR IN IT . I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT YOU CAN NOT JUST CHANGE THE MOTOR , I WAS TOLD THAT THE TORQUE TUBE IS DIFFERENT , IN THAT THE SHAFT IS BIGGER AND THAT MEANS YOU MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE THE TRANNY TOO , HAS ANYBODY RUN INTO THIS BEFORE ????? I WOULD APPERACIATE SOME HELP THANKS
Now would be the perfect time to mate it with your LS6 engine swap.
Also,if you haven't spent your last dime yet,
Mike Mercury found a real sweet GM torque converter with a slightly higher stall speed than stock. He posted an interesting thread, which included the GM part number, after his installation.

First off, all Z06's came with a manual torque tube, not an automatic torque tube.
The torque tube for an auto is different than that of a manual tranny.
You can use your existing auto torque tube for the conversion, it's no big deal.
