Guage Cluster - changing Odometer reading??
I know I've seen threads on this before, or at least related, but I need a quick answer
I'm cosidering putting an "export" 300 MPH guage cluster in my '01 - I believe that the guage cluster retains the mileage, and that the mileage is NOT maintained by the car's computer . . . So . . .
My current, factory 200 MPH guage cluster shows 31,xxx miles - Assuming I decide to put in a 300 MPH guage cluster, but the 300 MPH guage cluster has DIFFERENT mileage than what my 200 MPH cluster shows (the 300 MPH cluster could either have higher or lower mileage, it doesn't matter for the purposes of this question)
Is there anyplace / anyway to "reflash" a guage cluster to reflect my cars actual mileage? I WANT to retain my CORRECT mileage if I switch clusters, but I'm not sure it can be done. anyone?????
My flame suit is on, as I expect that some will think I'm trying to lower my mileage - HOWEVER, IF I swap in a 300 MPH guage cluster, I WANT it to reflect the actual miles on my car, NOT a higher OR lower mileage.
