Default Help !!!!!

I hear so many different things I'm confused? I have an 02 z06 . It has already had a few mods like:

MTI X-1 cam
Kooks 1 7/8 headers
Xpipe
CAI BLACKWELL
Hardened pushrods
Titanium retainers

I bought the car with these mods already done. The dyno from MTI shows the car at 408 RWHP. My question is. I would like around 460 470 RWHP . What would be the most dependable mods to achieve this HP. I want it streetable. Dont want to run a big risk. In other words I drive this car every couple days . Thought about MTI Heads? But is that the most bang for the buck? Or would Magnuson be a better approach. Which would be more dependable(RELIABLE). HELP!!!!!!

Some people are against it, but you could get a nice nitrous setup and be where you want to be affordably. I'm sure others will chime in with there opinions and recommendations but that's the way I'd go.

That sort of jump is going to take new heads/cam, supercharger or nitrous. The latter is the cheapest (initially, but not in the long run) and most dependable if using moderation and proper safety equipment. The most reliable will be heads/cam but you'll potentially lose some streetability.

Default Nitrous?

I'm not a big nitrous fan. I wouldn't rule it out but definetly not my first choice. When you say Heads/cam losing some streetability can you give some examples. Also how dependable would a Magnuson supercharger be. Its not the most cost effective but would it be a better choice for a longer term. They're not as hard on your engine as nitrous either Are they?

smithjr, I saw a nice article in Corvette mag featuring a supercharged vette from DRM w/ the Maggie. He said he chose the maggie and warrantied it because according to his research it had the best reliability of all the s/c's apparently. I don't recall which issue it was but it might help you out. Only issue is you'll get another 130-150 rwhp which is much higher than you intended to go.

My concern in getting to much horse power UHHHH that is not my concern it is whether or not the drivline will hold it with out other expensive mods.

If 460-470rwhp is all you're looking for at the wheels I'd say go with a nice set of heads, as FI would put you way over that mark. Be prepared to drop some coin on supporting mods for that extra HP.

Also, is the car paid for or do you have a loan on it? From a reliability aspect I wouldn't do anything else to the car until it's paid off.
