Caddy gets more compression and 345 ponies. Same basic design. Not sure about the heads?

The pistons are different for higher compression.. The heads have the same part #'s. According to some of the guys posting at LS1tech.com. The timing and fuel curves are were the rest of the power comes from. I dont' know about the cams between the trucks and SUV's though.

I guess that isn't bad considering I am getting a good deal on a complete engine that I am going to use to build for the Z06. I guess the only drawback is the heavier block. What do you guys think?

By the way I am considering this motor for a supercharged application.

From what I've heard the block is only about 40-60 lbs more. I think this would work great with a supercharger

I have that block in mine and will be installing a mallet carbon hood and BP nonpopup headlights to bring the weight bias very close to stock.
