Cooling Fans
I've been having this colling problem in traffic so I started digging around and maybe you can help me with the terminology as I go.
The cooling problem I have only happens when I'm in traffic.
The system was flushed and coolent replace as was the water pump due to the seal leaking and stat was change to a 180. I also recalibrated the fans to turn on at 190.
Now, I noticed that the drivers side fan kicks on when the A/C is turned on and seems to blow fairly hard by the amount of air flowing and by the sound.
The fan on the passengers side runs a little weak once the engine gets to temp. It isn't running very strong and I was able to stop it with a cardboard nail file. I used that beause I wouldn't use a screwdriver and I've kind of grown fond of my fingers.
Is there a electrical test that I can perform before I order an other motor?

Update: I ran the Vette w/o the a/c and the fan on the passenger side ran but slow and weak. Again I was able to stop it buy placing a cardboard nail file on the blades. Once the fan on the drivers side turned on the passenger side fan shut down. This was at 205 degrees.
Once the Vette cooled a bit, I was able to grab the fan itself and I was able to wiggle it fore and aft.
Not looking good.
Any one have a fix?

Sounds like you have a failing fan motor. I would first check the grounds for the fans which are in the ground pack on top right forward frame rail right close to the hood support. If I remember correctly, the fans run in series (electrically) when on low speed and when on high speed, each fan is individually grounded therefore high speed for both. Relays in the fuse box control how the grounds are controlled.
