Default HID lights

Got a question, I replaced my low and high beams with HIDs from Nissangtrpower over the weekend. I had to reverse the stock wires to the ballast to get them to fire up. But when I first turn on the lights the lights are dim, then brighten up. I kinda expected that. But when I am on the road and I switch from low to highs it is way to long to get to full light. If I switch from highs to lows, it is not too bad. They glow pretty bright right away.

Any ideas. I replaced the fuses with 15amp as well. Is this comman!

Yes this is common, this is why most leave the stock HIGHS in there and just use the HID lows as it does take 5-10 seconds for them to become fully lit/warm up.

You could wire up some relays to keep the lows on when you switch to highs.

You'll want to wire in relays to leave the low beam (HIDs) on with the highs. It drastically shortens the life of and is very hard on the HID capsule to be cycled on and off with Hi/Lo beam selection.
