How do you remove the front crankshaft seal without removing the timing cover?
Hi guys, I thought I had posted this yesterday, but I can't find my post anywhere.
Anyway, I removed my wobbling stock harmonic balancer, and I want to remove the original crankshaft seal. How do I do this without removing the timing cover? Do I pry it out with a screwdriver? The previous posts that I've researched don't go into the details. Do I need any special tools? I don't want to damage the front of the crank.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think its possible. You need to remove the timing cover, get it out by your method of choice (you are going to destroy it on removal), and press a new one in. Be careful on putting the new one in not to damage it.

Just use a large screwdriver or a seal puller if you have one, then carefully seat the new seal in place. I used a section of PCV pipe I had laying around to tap it in place.
