Default HELP !!! air filter wires connect

Hello everyone
I'd like to ask you for help. I'm in need of precise photos of cables and their colours as well as the description how to connect them. In my z06 (2001) they're stripped off and I don't have automotive cubes for any corvette.
On attached photo you can see what cables I have on my mind.

thank you in advance
regards

Hmmm. Well, I'm no expert on export C5's, but that looks like an LS1 engine to me, and not a 2001 as well. The wiring diagrams I have for 2001 LS1/6 and newer have the IAT/MAF. Based on your picture, you have separate MAF and IAT. Please see the below diagrams.

Hope this helps.

That looks more like a 99-00 LS-1 engine.

lysy, did you post an engine picture of another car - but not your car?

That photo is definitely a '99-'00 in the US, and definitely not a '01 Z06.

Note in the photo, and the diagrams Lucky sent, that two wires go to the temp sensor nearest the engine, and 3 wires go to the MAF farther forward.

If you have a '01 Z06, all 5 wires will go to the MAF - the rear temp sensor was moved forward in '01 and incorporated with the MAF.

1. If the photo is indeed your car, use the diagrams above.
2. If the photo is NOT your car, please request Lucky to send '01 diagrams.

Regards,
DG

I guess I'll be proactive since the OP is on the other side of the world.

If you have a 2001+ C5, use the below diagram:

Here's a link to read up on the Z06: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/specs/2001/index.htm

What's confusing me is the coil covers being black instead of red, and the 2000 or older MAF and IAT.

The VIN would suggest it is an LS6 car, and a hardtop

Wow. That's weird. But after having dealt with some gray-market Mercedes in the 1980's I can believe anything about differences in automotive products shipping to foreign countries.

What country are you in?

But, either way I think Lucky has you covered on the wiring diagrams; just use the one that matches your engine setup.

If you can, send us some more pictures of your car - exhaust, wheels, etc. Might be interesting to see the differences.

I live in Poland. I bought this Corvette crashed in US. I would need a scheme of connecting directional lights in bumper, and air bag sensor located in front seat belt.
Below are more photos of my corvette.

It sure as hell looks like a Z06. It has the ducts, rims and fog light screens. The engine compartment pic isn't the same one as you originally posted. The first pic is an older style LS1 engine. The one is this group looks correct for a Z06.

your going to have issues with that pre-01 maf thats on the car.. that cars computer is calibrated for a 01newer maf.. Your probally going to have to buy a 01+ maf for it to run right.

The 01 has a 5 wire maf, that includes the air intake temp sensor internally( which does away with the sensor thats mounted further up on the ducting. leave that disconnected.

Go on ebay and buy a 01-UP 85MM maf for a corvette. Order a pigtail connector for it to(both can be found on ebay.)

It looks like thye threw a older setup on there when the car was totalled. Your car will run like **** with that maf on there and thats also why your having issues wiring it up. If you have 5 wires at the air filter box, then you need to buy a 5 wire maf and wire it up and leave that other sensor unused.

Your best bet might be to search for one of the DVD based service manuals floating around. They have the wiring diagrams and cover multiple years.

It does sounds as if some older year parts were used.
