Changed the clutch fluid, now it squeaks?
I just changed my clutch fluid per the Ranger/Turkey baster procedure and used Prestone DOT 4 Synthetic. After I sucked the old fluid out and put the Prestone in, I pumped the pedal and immediately heard a very annoying clutch squeak ... and now it won't go away.
Is this related to the Prestone fluid, or should I be using the GM fluid?
Thanks

Well the squealing only started after I changed some of the fluid, so my guess is that it would be related to that ... but I'll look into those other options as well.

Look at the pictures in the link below to see what happens to the maste after it gets contaminated.
The seal on the piston of your master is most likely the source of the sound you are hearing.
