Cam selection for 416 LS3
Just ordered a motor from LME. It is a 416 LS3. I think I went to big on the camshaft. I ordered it with a 244-250 on a 114+3. Lift is right under .650. How is this cam going to behave? Do you think it is over the top? I want something farely aggressive. I only drive the car on Sundays. I have a 3600 stall and 3:73's.

I run WCCH LS3/L92 heads on my 403. I've been through 3 cams and none anywhere near as big as you've got. My current cam is almost 15 degrees smaller than yours. Numbers in sig. Big cams on these heads is a mistake.

That cam isn't to big for those cubes. With a good tune it will drive well. I wouldn't worry about it at all for a weekend toy. How it will work with those heads is a seperate issue that I would get professional advice on. If LME selected it with those heads in mind you should ask what kind of results they've had on similar combos.
