Trying to mount our 335/35-17 Hoosier Drag Radials. They're mounted on C4 17"x11" ZR1 wheels with 50 offset. Everything fits with the exception of the inside of the wheel barely touching the upper ball joint. I know a few others have ran this combination, so how did you get around this? Is it feasible to remove a little metal from the top of the ball joint?

Its not very thick metal. You could cut through it fairly easily. I would actually try to compress it down a bit first.

A spacer plate about 1/2" should help

A spacer will space the wheel out. I'm having contact with the inside diameter of the wheel touching the ball joint. I have clearance for the wheel and tire everywhere else.

I ground mine down to make them fit no spacers been that way for a while no problems those are thicker than most

Actually had to take off very little to get them to fit.
