Default service ride control, shok options

well ever since slamming my car on longer boltsi have thought about more lowered friendly shocks. my car has selective ride and yesterday i was getting a service ride control message. does this mean i need new shocks? if so, the norm seems bilstein sports or hd's. other than that my options are coilovers. my ride now is hoppy which i believe is due to shocks bottoming out with their now limited travel. with tha being said, what is my best option for an all street car for ride quality and does that message mean i need new shocks? thanks!

First off, excuse the massive typo's above, made that from my phone.

Secondly, i forgot something..... Having the selective ride, what do I have to do for the computer if I switch to a basic shock such as the Bilstein?
