Default Heads up display too low

After my new engine was installed I noticed that my heads up display is hitting the glass almost too low to see. I have the controls up as high as they go but it's not where it used to be.

Is there a way to re-aim the heads up display manually like the headlights??.....hope it's easy!

^^Yes. There should be a page button to the left on the dash. Press the up portion.

No man. I'm not that retarded! I know the obvious up button means up. The button does not make the display go as high on the window as it used to. It is almost like my HUD was reinstalled in a different position.

Is there a MANUAL way (not the buttons) to correct this problem???

Since I just installed a HUD in my car, I can tell you that the projector is installed rigidly, not much room for adjustment. The only possible movement would be the rear mounting leg on the projector not sitting fully in the mounting slot, which would let it tilt slightly forward.

Sounds like one of the mounting bosses broke - known problem. If so, you'll need to pull the dash to repair it. Do a search to find similar threads.

Had this EXACT problem on my friends vert last week. So we tore out the projector and tore into it. One of the pivots on the mirror inside the projector had worn out. You can either- 1. replace the projector (get a used one off the forum for sale= or fleabay OR 2. repair it yourself as we did. Not that hard once you tear into it.

But.......... we suck for not taking pics of the job.
Sorry brother, but hope this helps

Sounds like the problem has possible solutions from people that have more experience. Anyone know of actual threads with pictures of these "mounting bosses".

Also, do you think this could have been busted during an engine swap or or did a shifty shop employee swap the HUD for a jacked up one??

Same problem here. Just need to find the time to tear into the console/bezel/dash/glove box...then fix it. I think my lowered car took enough of a pounding (not much travel left in suspension) to force the HUD down...maybe even break off on of the ends . Mounting bosses?
