Default new clutch

I'm pretty sure my car is in need of a new clutch. When I am in 6th gear cruising around 70 and give the car some throttle, the rpm jump 1000-1500, then settle back down and start to accellerate the car. Couldn't be much more than the clutch could it? Looking at a used spec stg2+ clutch for sale here on the forum. Is this better than the ls7 clutch kit? Should I trust a used clutch? And is there anything better than the c5 slave cylinder to go with? I dont want anymore sticking pedal!!!!! thanks for any input...

A used clutch is going to be a coin filp, you could get a good one or get one that someone ran the crap out of. Depending on the mods you have/or are going to have will decide what clutch will be best for you.

With the labor and/or costs involved depending on whether you do it or have it done it's not worth taking a chance on a unknown clutch.

Just need to talk with shops that do many installs on different clutches..

Your exactly right, so give me a call...

Hey guys, we also are very familiar with RPS, and 8 other clutch company's, we sell them all, but we only strongly recomend a few of them, we do alot of installs on clutches for customers all over the US...So if you guys need some help from someone who is not tied to a specific manufacture please give me a call, I will be glade to help you guys with anything you need...We also stock all the little extras that you should do when installing a new clutch in a C5 or C6..

ARP Flywheel & Pressure Plate Bolts, Custom Remote Clutch Speed Bleeder Kits, upgraded drive shaft couplers, slaves, masters and also dont forget about safety when do this and if you can swing it install a Scatter Shield Bellhousing which protects you and your corvette..

So just give me a call, usually its best after 2:00pm est until 9:00pm est

thanks for your time, Mike Yeager @ Eastcoast Performance 1-864-404-1776...

so I should probably do a new clutch over used, but what about the slave cylinder? use the new replacement for my car, or is there something better out there? what are the advantages of the remote bleeder?

Personally When it comes time I'll be replacing everything in there at one time. I'd be much more comfortable being 99.9% positive that it's good to go for another 40K miles or more.

I haven't done it but I understand bleeding the clutch without the remote bleeder is an exercise most people do not look forward to.
