On some C5's, it fits just fine with no modifications. Others will require a modification to have adequate clearance. On a previous C5 in our shop, we trimmed the outer shell on the intake to make it so it wouldn't hit the cowl. Others have used shims on the cradle. We don't offer a clearance modification through the mail.

sweet, I was just looking at these.
Will they fit under the stock hood on a 2000?
Do you have the 102mm throttle bodies as well?

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. You can use our shorter engine mounts to gain clearance. Yes, we carry the NW 102 TB's.

Thanks for your questions!

My question to those of you who peddle parts... Why hasn't Comp (FAST) addressed this issue with the C5's? There's certainly a clearance issue and yet everyone is expected to adjust appropriately for their issue.

What? Nobody is roasting ANYONE. Simply curious if anyone has even ASKED Fast about the C5 issue. That's all. Maybe this particular vendor has, and could shed light on any upcoming improvements. Jeez

I know Hinson has addressed a portion of it with their poly motor mount choices. Hell, I HAVE and OWN their poly Trans mount. (Great piece, btw)

I know the intakes are nice pieces as I've had 2 myself.

I don't think it would be worth the $ investment for FAST to redesign and retool just to sell a couple of extra intakes that they would never notice they sold.

I didn't have to make any modifications on mine. No issues with it hitting the cowl. The only thing that isn't a perfect fit is the ls2 fuel rail lightly rubs the hood insulation when using the Bosch 3 60mm injectors. I can easily fix that with the ls2 injectors or billet rails.

Oh and Hinson was fantastic to deal with when I bought mine in 2012.
