Default fabricated alluminum valve covers

Has anyone installed a set of these on a c5.
I seam to have alternator clearence problems

Yes I have these valve covers and you have to cut out a section for the alternator because the covers are to tall. Crappy thing is that I had mine adjusted and now I want to go a different route so they are probabbly going to go back on the auction site.

I didn't want to cut/grind them up, so I just resold them to a guy that didn't mind. Bad engineering, if you ask me.

Thanks. I spoke to my local Vette shop and they said you could use an alternator relocator brack but I am having trouble finding one...any input?

How does that prevent a tall valvecover from not hitting the alternator?

I took a grinder to my alternator bracket, bolted them on, then the fuel and return line were in a bind. they are a bad design.

I agree that it is a bad design. I went with Katech cast aluminum and had no clearance issues..

I had the same problem because of my taller heads. I made 2 little extension brackets and bought a 1/2" longer belt.
