Both right side brake lights don't work. However the parking lights and turn signals do work.
First I replaced the bulbs, didn't fix the problems and I confirmed the bulbs were good by trying them out on the other side.
Next I checked the fuses. I checked every fuse under hood and in the floor board and they were all good. Although I'm not sure which one would be related to this specific problem.
Next I checked the grounds in the rear of the car. Behind the brake lights I found two ground that that the antenna uses and that the brake lights appear appear to tie into with a weather pack connector. They had a little corrosion, so I cleaned them up perfect and verified with a meter they are working.
This is starting to become a little maddening, does anyone else have any suggestions on what to check? This problem seems simple enough and I'll be damned if I have to take it to a dealership. Are there any other grounds I can check or some brake light control module? Maybe I need to buy the Helms manuals, but if anyone has a set they can check I would appreciate it.
The connector for the rear section is by the right rear wheel. I would check it for damage or bad connection. Does you emergency flashers work? If it is damaged or disconnected, the brake lights won't work.
If these don't do it, you must have a problem with the brake/signal "brain"
Hi Jeremy. You didn't say whether the center stop light was working, so I assume it is. I took a really quick look-see throught the toubleshooting portion of the manual on brake lights. It does not appear to cover a one sided situation like you have.
I think y2khardtop may be on to something with the right side connector since you would think all would be out rather than just one side. The manual also calls for the replacement of the hazard switch or the turn signal switch in some cases. I know from experience with my older corvettes that the turn signal switch can definitely keep one side of the brake light s from working, although I don't know if that's true in the new cars.
I hope you find the fix soon. If I can help more, please let me know.

Thanks David, I'll inspect that other connector you mentioned next. The hazards don't work on the same right side, but everywhere else.
I assume this brake/signal "brain" is located under the dash?

Yes the center brake light is working. Interesting though that the right side hazards don't work either, perhaps I'll replace the hazard light switch next. Also can you check in the manual and tell me where this brake/signal "brain" is located? I'll also check that other wiring harness next. Thanks for the tips.
