Ti exhaust + X pipe = ??
Hi
I put a Ti exhaust on my 02, as you knowit looks 100% better but sounds only a little louder.
My question would a X pipe help the sound and if so which X pipe can i add?
Looking for a straight swap only.
Thanks

I don't think that a X-Pipe will help it.

How much louder are the Z06 Ti's?
I will be installing a set of TPIS long tubes, Random X pipe and 03 Z06 Ti exhaust and wonder how loud they will be. I currently have the complete STOCK 99 exhaust.
I had LTs on my 76 C3 and they sounded awesome, they weren't loud until you uncorked it.

I noticed very little difference in sound from the stock exhaust when I had TI's. The look much better and weigh less but thats about it.

I doubt you will notice any difference in the sound either. It may smooth out the exhaust flow a bit, but other than that, probably won't help on a set of Ti's. I did install an x-pipe on my '00 that was equipped with a set of B&B Route 66 catbacks - helped cure the resonance and popping I was getting from that system.

Perhaps the guys that say the Ti exhaust isn't much of an improvement over stock is because your engine still has stock internals? Either that or you still have stock exhaust manifolds?
My H/C, LT, 3" exhaust + xpipe, and z06 Ti sounds great when WOT. When cruising around it's mellow but you know it's there.

If you're asking if an X-pipe will make the Ti exhaust louder then the answer is NO. It will actually make it a little quieter, smoother sounding. I just installed a Corsa XO pipe on my Z06.

My wife HATED my C3 with LTs because it was "too loud", even when idling. She cringed when i showed up with the Ti exhaust, Random X pipe and TPIS LT headers which I haven't installed yet.
