2 1/2" O.D.

Can't help you with the length...if that's what you need...although I'd like to see a full size pic of your avatar!

Uhhh, no. As stated in previous posts, your stock pipe is 2.5" OD. That is a 3"OD. It won't work. Ideally, you need a 2.5"OD with a slip fit. That would allow for a perfect lap weld or you could use band clamps.

Do yourself a favour and buy a proper stainless steel X-pipe made for a C5. You won't have to worry about whether it will fit or not. I believe Borla has the cheapest price.

There are too many ways too mess up airflow by welding in aftermarket pieces. Sounds like a lot of work to lose horsepower and gain a little sound.

Get a hold of Jon (Superman09 on the forum) and pick up one of his XSPower longtube header/xpipe combos. Real cheap, great quality, great power.

some good advise: buy a used X pipe then sell it when you get the LT's. You'll be much better off in the end plus you can get your money back.

I don't see getting any money back from a welded in X bought off Ebay

I used a universal Magnaflow compact design X-pipe Not stainless for around $50----It's only about 12-15 " long and it fits and lines up perfectly into the stock pipe locations---2 1/2"--
